Dear City Council Members and Members of the Planning Commission -
The Stanford Middle Avenue project affects a key part of our city. As a long-term resident and a Stanford Alum, I believe Stanford needs to go back and revise their proposal. Specifically, I agree with the following Menlo Spark recommendations:
1.      Meetrecently adopted Green Building Standards: The Middle Plaza proposal should meet the environmentalstandards of the recently adopted zoning regulation update for the Bayfront(M2) area, including, but not limited to, renewable energy, electric carcharging, water conservation, and zero waste policies.

2.      Providea comprehensive TDM program:Middle Plaza should employ all potential measures available to minimize theincrease in vehicle trips from the project by incentivizing alternative travelmethods, including charging for parking, transit passes for all site occupants(workers and residents), and ensuring a high-quality bike and pedestrian(multi-use) path along the development.

3.      SupportMenlo Park’s designation as a Tree City: The project should landscape all areas except for surfaceparking considered critical, with the remainder of parking underground.
Please at least hold Stanford to the recently adopted zoning regulation update.
Thanks for your efforts,Jennifer Pont
