Keep heritage tree - deny appeal

I strongly support Menlo Park staff and the EQC recommendation to keep the beautiful, thriving cedar heritage tree at 1810 Bay Laurel and deny the owner’s appeal. Heritage tree removal is a growing problem that deserves serious attention. Too many of our large trees are coming down. Many could be preserved with a minor effort providing a major benefit to future generations. City staff, commissioners and citizens should be aligned on this. Menlo Park prides itself on being a Tree City — all efforts should be made to maintain a healthy tree canopy.
