Please turn down the offer of 20K for a bigger library in Civic Center

Dear City Council,

Generally speaking, I am proud to live in the City of Menlo Park, and feel well represented by the City Council.

When I learned a few weeks ago that you voted to accept 20K from John Arrillaga to help build a super library in the Civic Center, I was so disappointed by this rapid shift in priorities. While I understand that we live in a country where billionaires are setting public policy by way of how they donate and invest, I don't think that our small city should follow this trend without serious consideration.

Please go back to Plan A and work to improve all libraries, not just the one in Civic Center.
