2131 Sand Hill road ND hearing 8/22/17

Below is the web reference for the 59 page document prepared by a group of very hardworking, dedicated neighbors of the project with the help/input from several bicycling groups, PTAs, Safe Routes, Parents' groups and the Senior Condo at Menlo Commons..  This represents the traffic problems in the immediate area as observed by these multiple and diverse groups, together with their collective thoughts on potential solutions. The traffic problems and accidents by the Sand Hill intersection have been so acute, and the dangers to residents, cyclists, pedestrians and school kids, that the CHP and the sheriff have had to initiate extra enforcement procedures.

The proposed ND for 2131 is going to greatly exacerbate and already untenable situation.
Should the City Council feel inclined to approve this ND, it would do well to (a) delay a decision until the City Public Works Dept. has had a chance to review the document and consult with the County, and (b) require substantial traffic mitigations paid for and engineered by Stanford.http://univpark.org/sites/default/files/reference-issues/SantaCruz-Alameda_Safety_Issues-Aug_19.pdf
