Noise Issues Along Sand Hill Road at Sharon Oaks

Hello Menlo Park City Council,

I am asking that you please address the noise issues along Sand Hill Road at Sharon Oaks by requiring Stanford to share responsibility for mitigating the overall noise levels, especially during rush hour times. Please work with the Sharon Oaks Association to share the costs of a new wall along Sand Hill Road that is capable of reducing the current noise levels to a reasonable level. This would include building a taller and thicker wall designed so that it mitigates the increase in traffic and noise that Stanford has mainly created by its expansion. I am not asking the City Council to reject the permit, but to please add this additional requirement to the permit before it is approved to ensure Stanford helps us mitigate the noise.

Regards - Nancy Child
