Stanford development noise on Sand Hill Road

City Council Members:

I cannot be at the Council meeting on August 22 due to travel, but I want to urge you to require Stanford to contribute a significant amount to the replacement of the sound wall surrounding our condo development on Sharon Oaks Drive, if the university is granted permission to add a development off Sand Hill Road in our neighborhood. The noise of commuter traffic on Sand Hill is very loud for many hours each day, especially during the morning and afternoon rush hours. A replacement wall should be higher and heavier to mitigate the adverse effects on the ninety families in our development. I think Stanford should support at least half the replacement cost for this wall.

Thank you for considering my views on this proposed project.
