Hi Council members
As a mother who has cycled almost every day to Laurel for the last 7 years (this year is likely my last year) I implore you to include Coleman in the study. Colemen IS the problem road!!! It narrows at points and cars do not realize until they are on the cyclists that they will not safely pass the cyclist at the narrow points.
It is the parents who walk and cycle and drive on Coleman who started the campaign and it is the road that most needs changing. A few residents on Coleman should NOT compromise the safety of even one child!!! Some home owners plant trees and other plants on land that actually belongs to the county and claim it as their own. Even when asked they do not cut down or back overhanging shrubs and branches.
Please include Coleman - what is the point of a study without Coleman really!!! It would be an opt out for City Council members. I can see quotes in the papers - "we are doing an extensive study for child safety" (of all the streets that do not matter!!)
