Community Stakeholder Interviews

From: Center for Community Innovation, UC Berkeley <"Center>
Date: Wed, 14 Jun 2017 13:03:29 -0700

Dear members of the Menlo Park City Council,

I am writing on behalf of Dr. Karen Chapple and Dr. Miriam Zuk of the
Center for Community Innovation (CCI) at UC Berkeley. CCI is in the process
of launching a new study on housing issues in Menlo Park (Belle Haven in
particular), East Palo Alto, and North Fair Oaks, in order to assess
current housing conditions and local needs that will hopefully inform a
regional housing strategy and support the preservation and development of
affordable housing in the area. The study is being funded by Facebook.

CCI believes that this study must be community-driven and participatory in
nature. To that end and as part of the scoping phase of our study, we will
be conducting stakeholder interviews with policymakers and community
organizations in the area. As the Menlo Park City Council, you are vital
members of this community and we believe that your input is essential.

Dr. Zuk and Dr. Chapple would like to schedule a time to interview you.
Please write back with your group's availability in the next couple weeks
(preferably between 10:30am and 2pm on weekdays), or with any questions or
concerns.

We look forward to your participation in this important project.

Best,

The Center for Community Innovation, UC Berkeley
