Oppose AB1250

Honorable Mayor and Council Members,
I am writing to you to urge you to publicly oppose AB1250, currently making its way through the California legislature. This bill will impose onerous and costly constraints on cities' ability to use contractors when needed to provide city services, a situation that will certainly increase the Menlo Park's costs to provide those services. The alternative is to hire full time City staff who will add to the pension burden that we already struggle to fund.
I encourage you to join the League of California Cities by communicating your opposition to this poorly crafted piece of legislation to the appropriate parties in State government.
