Dear Menlo Park City Council Members,
I am writing to express my concerns regarding the
City's potential acquisition of the Park Theater. I
do not support using City funds to finance the
purchase or improvement of this NON HISTORIC building.
I believe that spending $2.2 million to invest in
private property which would be used by a very small
segment of Menlo Park residents is a egregious misuse
of funds. This property could be developed for a much
higher and better use, one that does not require
government subsidies, and the money could be used for
needed services or public amenities.
