State Updating Sea Level Rise Guidance
The State of California Sea-Level Rise Guidance Document (http://seachangesmc.us11.list-manage.com/track/click?u=40c74669d3d70d2d21ece795a&id=82ee3c3db3&e=6fa0fac571) , initially adopted in 2010, updated in 2013, is currently in the process of being updated again. The existing document provides guidance to state agencies for incorporating sea-level rise projections into planning, permitting, investment and other decisions. The statewide guidance is being updated to reflect recent advances in ice loss science and projections of sea-level rise and includes guidance for cities and counties on how to comply with a new law (SB 379) that requires them to incorporate climate change into their planning efforts.

To ensure that the updated policy guidance is responsive to user needs, accessible, and presented in a way that serves specific decision and planning processes, the State is conducting 5 listening sessions to learn more from a wider set of stakeholders. Each session is oriented toward a particular set of planners and managers - please choose the one that best represents your area of work or expertise, and register for the session using the link provided. Below, you will find five dates/times for these listening sessions.
