Derry Lane development RAW

Mr. Boggs,
I just read the RAW for the Derry Lane Site in Menlo Park.  As per the the community update,  I'm writing to you to express my concerns.
I live a few blocks from this site.   I have serious concerns about the plan to vent any remaining contaminated soil vapor above the roof of the planned building located on the site, as described in the recommended alternative of soil excavation with offsite disposal.
As quoted from your March, 2017 Community Update "a sub-slab venting system is included in this alternative if contaminated soil vapor remains.  This would be installed beneath the building if necessary so that vapor would be vented out above a roof."
What will happen to this vapor that you would be releasing into the air we all breath?  How does this vapor impact people's health, including children, the elderly, and those who already have respiratory conditions?
Admittedly, this isn't my area of expertise, but potentially venting toxic substances into the air in an area that has homes less than 500 feet away, and a school within 2 blocks, sounds like an incredibly unsafe, poor plan that is perhaps valuing cost far above safety.
