Concern regarding 101/Willow Plans

Dear City Council,

As a resident of Menlo Park on Coleman Ave, I want to thank you for the job you put forth sitting on the city council and dedicating parts of your lives to the community. My family and I love the great city in which we live and welcome many of the improvements happening. However, I want to ask why you are planning to punish residents of Menlo Park by changing from a full cloverleaf to semi-cloverleaf on Willow at 101? As someone who travels all over the South Bay for work meeting it would seem preposterous that I would be required to spend more of my time waiting to get into Menlo Park while the city is tries to convenience those trying to get across to the East Bay after work. It doesn't make sense to make a Menlo Park resident's commute longer by waiting in a single file line that would predominately be for commuters trying to cross the Dumbarton bridge from either direction. Please enlighten me as to why the city council would consider creating more hassle and a longer commute for one of its own residents and yet try to appease the residents of another city?

Thank you,

Joe Scott
