Vote YES on Menlo Park Ban on Religious Registry & Ban on Internment/Relocation Ordinance

Dear City Council of Menlo Park,

I’m writing in *strong support of Councilman Ray Mueller’s Proposed Ban on
Religious Registry Participation and Ban on Internment/Relocation Ordinance*.

I am a concerned Muslim citizen and a proud homeowner in Menlo Park. I
believe a possible call for a registry based on faith, country of origin,
or ethnic identification is a violation of human rights. As a mother of two
children, I worry what conversations about a potential ban might mean for
my children’s identity and idea of self-worth. Unfortunately, the Japanese
Internment Camps are a very scary precedent. This is un-American and we
must stand up for the rights of everyone. Muslim or not, our common
identity is under assault.

Thank you for voting in support of the Ban on Religious Registry
Participation and Ban on Internment/Relocation Ordinance.

Farha Chowdry
Homeowner and Resident of Menlo Park
Mother of two children, Oak Knoll
