Cut through traffic in the Willows neighborhood -- need your help to address

Hello Menlo Park City Council:  We are an family of 3 including a 6 year old girl and 2 dogs that live on McKendry Drive in the Willows neighborhood.  My daughter is learning to ride her bike and my dogs love to run outside when we open our front doors.  On our street, McKendry Drive, there are so many cut through drivers that drive 40-50 miles per hour down from Blackburn to Marmona.  Due to the speeding traffic which I see mostly on McKendry during rush hour, I am always worried that my child and my dogs might get hurt.
We need your help.  Please act on Willows cut-through traffic in 2017. It’s a big safety issue.
In the long term, we need to address the amount of traffic going through Willow Road with or without Palo Alto as it is a parking lot during peak hours now.   However, in the short term, we just have to try to do something about the amount of cut through traffic going through the streets of the Willows neighborhood.
We need the reduction of Willows cut-thru traffic to be a city transportation goal in 2017, and for resources to be specifically included in the city's 2017 work plan.   As a neighborhood we will work collaboratively with the City to support this work.  We know things can be different. My neighbors and I are intent on affecting meaningful change.
Thanks in advance for you time and consideration.
