Heyward,

I agree that they are unsightly, and have been working with the City Manager to address this issue. After looking into the legal issues surrounding them, Alex tells me that staff asked the owners of these boxes to remove them about 10 days ago. I have some ideas about how we could improve the distribution of newspapers in town. As it might be something that we vote on, the Brown Act restricts my sharing these with you on CCIN.
