Please Prioritize Safe Routes to School

Hello Members of the City Council,

First, I wanted to thank you all for your public service, Menlo Park is a
great place to call home and your work is a part of that.

I had hoped to attend the meeting tonight to convey my thoughts in person,
but I am not going to be able to make it. I wanted to write to ask that
you consider making Safe Routes to Schools a priority for the town this
year and approve funding towards this goal.

I live on Coleman Ave and every morning and afternoon I watch the children
of our community make their way to and from school in conditions that
frighten me as a grown up and have only gotten worse over the last year.
That's disappointing to me as a parent, neighbor and a citizen of Menlo
Park - however, I really do believe this is a fixable issue.

With the right resources, I am sure we can find a solution, so that is why
I am asking one more time, please make this a priority, please allocate
resources. Jen Wolosin will be at the meeting tonight, please know that
she speaks for both my wife Cassandra Lopez and myself on this issue.
