Safe bike routes

Dear Menlo Park City Council Members,

It is my understanding that this week you will be setting the City goals
for 2017. I have lived in Menlo Park for many years and continue to choose
to live here because of the high quality of life that this city affords me,
including the ability to bike safely to work and school. I respectfully
request that the Menlo Park City Council prioritize bike lanes, additional
bike infrastructure (like bike racks and parking downtown) and safe bike
routes to schools and allocate resources and funding toward this goal as
appropriate. In addition to enhancing a high quality of life, prioritizing
this infrastructure will save the city money in the long-term by reducing
the number of cars on the road.
