Station 1300

Dear Honorably City Council,

As a 28 year resident of Menlo Park, I beseech you to approve this elegant project. The embarrassment of El Camino in a wealthy community such as Menlo Park should no longer be tolerated. I believe it has been at least a decade since the last car dealer closed its doors along this stretch of valuable land.

We have suffered lost revenues and this eyesore longer than reasonable. It is time for our leaders to give the green light to this project. When homes are selling for over $7M in Menlo Park, it is just unfathomable that most of our downtown and El Camino looks like a worn out 1950's Hollywood set for a depressing John Steinbeck story. Every other town up and down the peninsula has taken mighty steps to upgrade their buildings and offerings. Menlo Park remains an anomaly.

Station 1300 will at least give us one end of El Camino that we can be proud to experience.
