Office building parking on Monte Rosa Drive

Hello dear Council Members and welcome to a new term.

I am writing to tell you about how disappointed my husband and I and the residents cc'd above are regarding tenants at the office building at the corner of Sand Hill Road and Monte Rosa, (Jeff Morris is the owner), parking along Monte Rosa when there is ample parking available in the parking lot for the building. Not only does it take away from the residential nature of our street but the parking blocks the sidewalk for handicapped people and people with infants in strollers forcing them to walk in the street. It contributes to additional traffic on Monte Rosa as all the cars are parked going down the street. There must be at least 20 cars that are parking there. I have found out when I asked the Police to check into whom the cars belong to as we were thinking it was possibly a park and ride, we were informed and surprised to learn that the cars belong to employees that work in the office building. I requested in conversations with Jeff at the end of August that he talk to his tenants and while he said he would and agrees with me that he wouldn't want cars parked along his street either, nothing has been done since then to prevent the parking.

Please let me know your thoughts and if I need to involve the neighborhood in protesting this parking. I appreciate your time.

My best regards,

Maya Sewald
