Hi Chris,

I believe there will be a community meeting in the Willows on January 11th. The Police Department and City Council members will be in attendance to discuss the robberies and what is being done to address the issue. I plan on attending the meeting. I will forward more information as I receive it.

With best regards,
Ray

Subject: Question regarding robberies in the Willows

Hello City Council Members- happy new year, and thank you for your service to our community.

My name is Chris Finan and I live at 501 Concord Drive in the Willows. We've had at least half a dozen robberies within several blocks of my home in the past eight weeks, and there have been two on my street alone in the past month. I've reached out to the police department to find out what more is being done - I know they made two arrests last month, but the robberies have continued - and what I can do to protect my home, but I have not yet heard back.

My wife and I are veterans of Iraq and Afghanistan, and it's deeply unsettling for us to feel a sense of vulnerability in our home, when we experienced so much abroad. That's not how we want to live and raise our family. I believe we as a community should be able to find a solution to ensure a sense of security.

I recognize that there are many challenges facing our community and the city has finite resources, but there has to be more we can do to prevent these break-ins.

Please let me know if the City Council has any initiatives underway to address this problem. I am ready to help to be part of the solution.

Thank you,

Chris Finan
