Oak Grove Safe Routes to School

Dear City Council,

I read this morning in the Daily Post you changed the Oak Grove safe routes
to school bike lane plan and "saved" street parking between Merrill Street
and Laurel Avenue.

Why did you choose to leave street parking in the area that is one of the
most dangerous parts of the route?

The train tracks and Alma Street both intersect with Oak Grove Avenue
between Merrill Street and Laurel Street. Also, won't there be alot of
construction in this area soon? There are so many distractions for drivers
and children riding bikes in this area.

You just invited a bunch of families to send their kids riding bikes down
this route and then created this dangerous area in the middle of it.

Please fix the Oak Grove bike route before kids start using it and a child
gets seriously hurt.
