City Council,
Please consider the renovation of your recreation center. We have actively
enjoyed classes through Burgess Park while we lived in Menlo Park and
Atherton. My daughter actively participates in the dance programs you offer
with Jane Kellam and Maryanne Hernandez. The facilities are in desperate
need of updating as you have updated other facilities at Burgess Park. It
would be a tragedy if the City of Menlo Park is considering renovating the
Park Theater for a private dance academy before taking care of their own
dance facility at Burgess park after all of the years of support and
investment in your programs.
