Fwd: Parking on Marsh Road by Marsh Manor/Starbucks

Hello City Council

I appreciate the willingness of Menlo Park city staff to make their email addresses available for use by the general public.

This openness, however, creates an expectation that emails sent to MP staff will be at least acknowledged, if not dealt with directly.

I sent the two emails below to members of MPPD on October 10 and 13, and have yet to receive any sort of reply. Even an auto-reply acknowledging receipt and hinting at a possible future reply would be better than the current stony silence.

Can you help this matter get some attention?

Thanks and regards

Phil McHale

Hello Chief Jonsen -

I sent the message below to Sgt. Ortega and have yet to receive a reply.

Is there someone else I should contact on this matter?

Thanks and regards

Hello Sgt Ortega -

I am not sure if this an issue for Menlo Park, Redwood City or CalTrans, but I would like to report dangerously parked vehicles on Marsh Road by Marsh Manor/ Starbucks.

1-800-GOT-JUNK and Careful Movers have large trucks parked there, such that when trying to exit the Marsh Manor parking lot and turn right onto Marsh Road, it is now almost impossible to check on the traffic flow coming from the left, because the sight lines are completely blocked. One of my neighbors has already experienced a near-accident.

If this is in Menlo Park's jurisdiction, is there anything we can do to get parking restrictions on that stretch of Marsh Road to avoid this dangerous situation? If it is not, can you suggest who I should contact?

Thanks and regards
