The recent ban on all radio controlled aircraft in Menlo Park

Dear Ms. Brandell,

I was very saddened to hear about the recent decision of the city council
to ban all radio controlled aircraft in Menlo Park.

While I can understand why people are offended by quadcopters and
helicopters, my son and I often fly very small radio control planes that
weigh under 2 oz (50g) at Bedwell Bayfront Park. Many passers-by often stop
by for conversation because they are intrigued by these quiet little
aircraft and many children often want one.

Can I ask that you reconsider this ban? Perhaps permit the flying of only
some aircraft during some restricted hours? I have included some
screenshots of these small electric planes to give you a feel for what I'm
referring to.

I'm happy to discuss this with you further.

Respectfully yours,

Sanjay Bulchandani
