Bus access to Upper Laurel

Dear the MPCSD and MP City Council Members,

I am a resident on Elliott Drive and a concerned member of the community.
Although I have no children in school, but as a father of 3 I am very
concern about the safety of the kids walking to and from the school.

I have been patient with all the activity of the new school and
understanding of the traffic that it will cause on our street. But recently
It has come to my attention that the Oak Court gate located at the far side
of the Upper Laurel parking lot may only be allowed to open once in the
morning and once in the afternoon for *one* school bus. This sounds absurd
to have all the traffic be used by a small street like Elliott Drive. As a
community the children should be our first concern. Be sure that if both
cars and buses go through Elliott Drive it will create much chaos.

Busing is the best choice to bring kids safely to school and as a community
we needs to use a WIDE street like Oak Court for buses to insure the safety
of the children. We need to look at the big picture.

Thank you for your consideration,

H. Ashktorab, Ph.D.
