School routes

Hi there,

I cannot be at the meeting tonight because I work evenings but would like to weigh in on how important it is you have safe bike routes can I happen to school.

Option A would really service MA, Laurel Upper and Lower Campus as well as Peninsula School. Myself and my neighbors go to the last two schools every day and have always wanted to bike to school but with Gilbert and Coleman with no bike lanes and without a stop sign at Santa Monica it is not safe. Furthermore, Cut through traffic from Coleman to Santa Monica is going way to fast for kids to navigate a left turn on their own.

Bike lanes and a Stop Sign would make it safer for kids and adults on bikes and increase our quality of life.

School traffic is insane and very stressful. We have tried to cycle to school and the way it is now, it is just an accident waiting to happen.

Thanks for your time
