Safe routes in the Willows

Dear City Council Members,

Our family are residents of the Willows neighborhood, and throughout the past couple of years, we have seen an alarming increase in the amount of cut-through traffic, with many vehicles ignoring stop signs and speed limits. This is more than enough of a concern to our children's safety as it is, but now we will have our children commuting to school on a daily basis on foot and bikes.

With our new Laurel Upper Campus opening in October, I urge you to direct City Staff to conduct a comprehensive Safe Routes to School Study for Laurel School as soon as possible. Please begin the process right away.
