Tonight - expert presentation relevant to Menlo Park parking decisions

Honorable council members,

Tonight in Redwood City, parking expert Rick Willson will be giving a talk
that touches on many of the decisions that Menlo Park faces as the city
considers parking solutions downtown. What are the connections between
parking and the city's goals of a livelier downtown? How do choices for
parking pricing and management strategies affect downtown business
success? How do parking choices relate to housing and housing
affordability?

Last night, Willson gave a similar talk in Mountain View which was
excellent. There were about 35 attendees, with a diverse mix including city
council members and commissioners, community members, chamber and downtown
business association participants. Willson gave a lot of good examples of
parking-related issues and solutions, and there were thoughtful questions
about local issues.

If you're interested in parking options for Menlo Park, this event is
recommended if you can make it.

June 9, 6-7:30pm
Red Morton Community Center (about 1 mile from downtown)
1120 Roosevelt, Redwood City
