please do not allow the VA to cut down the heritage oaks!

Just posted on Nextdoor, that the Willow Rd campus of the VA Hospital is planning on cutting down around a dozen old heritage oak trees to build a "recreation area."

Please can you look into this, and let the community know what we can do to stop this!?

Can't they just build a picnic area for recreation around the oak trees?

The neighbors are really upset, and though I do not live close - I am on Menalto at Woodland in the Willows, I do drive by there most days, and hope we do not lose more beautiful trees that clean our air and lift our spirits!

Thanks much,
