Dear Members of Menlo Park City Council,

Bike to Work Day is fast approaching on May 12! This year, SVBC is leading
a VIP bike ride in San Mateo County.

The ride will meet at Samtrans Headquarters in San Carlos and then travel
to the County Center in Redwood City. The general plan is:

   - Meet at 7 am at Samtrans Headquarters in San Carlos: 1250 San Carlos
   - Do a mellow bike ride down Old County Road to County Center in Redwood
   City: 400 County Center
   - Stop at 1-3 Energizer Stations and/or bike infrastructure
   - Wrap up at 8 am

Let me know if you would like to join us. *You must be able to provide your
own bicycle*. It will be a very leisurely pace and a great way to celebrate
Bike to Work Day and feel the excitement and energy. We will be promoting
the event to the media.

Riders are free to leave the group at any point along the way. You can also hop
on Caltrain
<http://www.caltrain.com/riderinfo/Bicycles/Bicycle_General_Info.html> in
Redwood City with your bike after the ride.

I hope you will consider joining. Please email (emma_at_(domainremoved)
or call (408-287-7259, ext. 228) to sign up and let me know if you have any

Thank you,

Emma Shlaes
