Please support the bike lane pilot on El Camino

Dear City Council members,

Thanks so much for moving forward with the Oak Grove bike lane pilot. We and
our children, neighbors and friends are excited about the benefits -- making
Menlo Park a safe place to bike, with cleaner air, less traffic and lower
CO2 emissions.

Please also proceed with the planned El Camino bicycle route pilot and
pedestrian safety upgrades. Please support the safest designs available to
protect the hundreds of people walking and bicycling on El Camino Real every
day - and those like me and my family, who don't do the "El Camino Roll" out
of fear for our safety.

Of course a coordinated effort with neighboring towns is ideal, but please
advance as collaboratively as possible without delay.

Please vote to move ahead quickly with the El Camino bike lane pilot,
creating a bike-friendly, vibrant downtown that serves everyone.

We are grateful for your leadership in making Menlo Park a bike-friendly
