Carriage House repurposed?

Since it seems that refurbishing and rebuilding the Carriage House as
the MP Historical Association home, a museum, or other such function
seems to be beyond the City and any yet unknown benefactor's
pocketbook, can the City consider this possibility?
The Menlo Park Children's Center at Burgess Park has an outdoor play
area. What chance is there that the Carriage House could be added as
a storytime/craft space? Since the existing Center already has the
required facilities (toilets, water, etc.), could the Carriage House
be simply an extra indoor space without such amenities? If so, the
short-term cost would be primarily the price of moving the building.
Adaptive changes could be done as staff and budget and timeline allow.
At the least, this possibility preserves the building and gives it a
new life and purpose.
