Questions for the Council: Red Light Camera Program

Dear Menlo Park City Council,

I have a few quick questions for the council regarding the city's red light
camera program.

1) How much revenue did the city receive in 2015 from the program?

2) Does a private company operate the red light cameras?

3) If so, how did the city choose this company and how much did the city pay
this company in 2015?

4) When did the city decide to put up red light cameras at El Camino Real
and Glenwood?

5) Are there plans for more red light cameras to be installed in 2016?

6) The first time offense for a red light violation, which includes a right
turn on red, is $490. Who came up with that amount and how?

Thank you,

Michael Cassidy
