Bicycle Lane

To whom it may concern,

I am an employee in a small business located on Oak Grove. I would like to express my concern regarding the proposed bike lane. I believe it is not in the best interests of the community to have a bike lane in lieu of parking. I watch people run the 3-way stop sign on the corner of Oak Grove and University all day long. It seems more logical to have a police officer monitor the intersection during peak cycling hours rather than do away with parking spots. Parking can already be troublesome and I believe out of frustration from people not being able to find parking will be more prone to speeding up and down the streets. I have children and care about their safety but believe this is the wrong course of action.

Thank you for your consideration.
