RE: Santa Cruz Avenue Sidewalk Project

Hello Mr. and Mrs. Nash,

Thank you for your email. As part of the presentation on Tuesday night, staff will provide a clarification of the measurements with some visuals. In general, the travel lanes are between 10 feet and 11 feet from center line of stripe to center line of stripe. The study session will provide a good forum to confirm Council direction and intent going forward.

Sincerely,
Justin Murphy
Public Works Director

Dear Council and City Manager,

Staff Report Number 16-031-CC for Tuesday 2/9 meeting includes a BKF street design plan that erroneously uses 11-foot travel lanes rather than the Council-approved 10-foot travel lanes. See attached excerpts. This 2-foot difference undoubtedly affects the evaluation of drainage issues. In any event, please ensure that the Council-approved dimensions are used in future planning.

Thank you,
Betsy and Horace Nash
