Nealon Park

I am voicing my opposition to moving the dog park at Nealon Park from the baseball fields to the grass area. As a parent of small children, my children daily use the grassy area for significant amount of time. The location of the grassy area is key for parents of multiple kids. because of the line of sight between the playground and grassy area, I can easily watch over them. I have heard the city council proposed to others the kids could play on the fields (which does not have a line of sight) or on the grassy area near middle (which poses risks because of the cars). With all of the open space opportunities in menlo park (at Lyle, Fremont, or in front of the little house once the tree is taken out) it is a shame the city is proposing a solution that doesn't make sense to the dog owners or users of the grassy area.
