Safe Bike Routes for Menlo Park

My family and I love riding our bikes everyday for school and doing
errands, the recent increase in vehicular traffic has made it dangerous for
bicyclists, especially little kids.

We urge you to move forward with the plan to provide safe and 'real' bike
lanes that kids and adults can use proposed by the Bike Commission to
connect M-A High School to West Menlo through Oak Grove. My kids bike to
Oak Knoll, bike to Hillview and soon will be biking to M-A High, but the
current bike routes are extremely unsafe.

Traveling our downtown to frequent local business is also extremely unsafe
with cars coming and going from parking spaces. The lack of safe and
allocated space where bikes can travel without being forced into the car
lane and be unsafe is of concern to my families as well as others who
leave/work in Menlo Park.

Making biking safe for Menlo Park residents will encourage more cyclists
and help reduce the horrible gridlock that is become a daily occurrence in
Menlo Park.
