1. OUR FALL KICKOFF MEETING: “Make It Fair” the campaign to reform the commercial property tax part of Prop. 13 in California. Marie Baldisseri is the speaker and the time/place is 9:00-noon this Sat. 12th Sept. at 167 Heather Drive, Atherton (Kathleen Weisenberg’s).

2. “From the Board” on LWV studies and advocacy (especially California & LWVC)

3. National studies on (1) amending the U.S. Constitution and (2) money in politics

4. California study on public higher education in California

5. Sept. 19 (Saturday from 9:00-11:45 at Foothill College) “A Forum on Public Higher Education in California” organized by the LWV Council of Santa Clara County

6. BOOK GROUP on Sept. 24 (Thurs. noon) at Lucile Spurlock’s: Midnight in Siberia

7. New Voices for Youth, including pictures from the North Fair Oaks Community Festival

8. Activities in our local League

9. Report on our League at the North Fair Oaks Community Festival, and also at our beer booth at the Menlo Park “Connoisseurs’ Marketplace”

10. CANDIDATE FORUMS: Sept. 23 through Oct. 1, and volunteers needed!

11. World Affairs Council Fall Kickoff on Sunday Sept. 27

12. Bay Area League: The Bay Area Monitor for Aug-Sept 2015

13. State League (LWVC): (1) a state voting rights victory for formerly incarcerated persons, and (2) action on climate change legislation pending in the Assembly (SB 32 and SB 350)
