To All Council Members:
Please retain the traffic barriers placed at the Ravenswood/Alma/train tracks intersection.
There is no surprise that people feel inconvenienced. That was a given from the beginning. That is not a reason to take down the barriers before the six-month test period ends. I am inconvenienced getting to the library now. That's the price I pay for getting over the tracks safely.
I would rather be safe crossing the tracks. I am so relieved that cars cannot turn onto Alma suddenly stopping all traffic on Ravenswood.
Please allow the barriers to stay up for the entire test period, as you said they would. I would vote to make them permanent.
