Multiple Problems

As a Willows resident, who works in Portola Valley, I commute through Menlo Park daily.

I cannot tell you what a bottleneck you have created on the El Camino, Menlo Avenue and Ravenswood corridor. Closing off Alma street to make a right turn (from Ravenswood) was an incredible mistake. Crossing El Camino Real the traffic is bumper to bumper. Every evening I see cars stuck on the tracks because of the crosswalk and the light at Laurel. You need to be on the road between 4:00 and 7:00 p.m. to see what a monster you have created.
PLEASE, PLEASE leave El Camino Real alone. NO BIKE LANES ARE NECESSARY. You think you have problems with someone getting hit by the train while driving, wait till you put bicyclists on El Camino with the cars. Disaster.
This park on a city street. WHAT WERE YOU THINKING. Don't any of you care about your local merchants. How about people who shop in Menlo Park and want to park. WHO PAID FOR THIS PARK??
HOPE IT WASN'T THE TAXPAYERS.
After living in this great city for almost 50 years, we may have to rethink where we shop. You are the most unfriendly city to business and CARS. Do you actually think the majority of the people shopping and driving through Menlo Park are going to give up there cars for a bike.
What a disappoint this council is to the citizens of Menlo Park. A handful of residents are making decisions for the entire city. You should listen to everyone and not just a few.
