El Camino project

To the Members of the Menlo Park City Council:

We support restoring the third lane to El Camino Real, rather than adding a
bike lane. The traffic bottleneck is horrendous and it makes no sense. I'm
sure we're not the only ones who avoid traveling on El Camino through Menlo
Park whenever possible. That does not help the businesses located on El
Camino Real, so the (past) argument that they needed to retain parking is
spurious. Moving vehicle traffic efficiently through the city should be the
main focus.

We have deep concerns about the safety of bicyclists traveling on El Camino
and cannot support adding a bicycle lane on such a busy and important
corridor.

I have lived all my life on the Peninsula and we have lived in West Menlo
Park for almost 30 years.

Respectfully,

Sue and Michael Milos
