Bike Lane on El Camino Real

I bicycled to work for a decade, and more years for pleasure, and I would never use El Camino Real. There is too much activity on ECR, including an enormous number of vehicles going in and out of commercial property and streets, so it can never be made safe enough for a bike lane, regardless of buffer size or green paint.

The bike commission should be tasked with matching bike lanes with adjacent city bike lanes (Palo Alto, Stanford, Atherton, Redwood City) for the best continuous flow.

They should also be tasked with immediately proposing completion of the "safe schools lanes" on Middle Avenue where it crosses El Camino Real to meet the "plaza". This needs to be done now while the property surrounding the plaza is being developed. We cannot wait for the railroad bicycle underpass to be designed and then discover the plaza is in the wrong place.
