VAPAHCS Director Lisa Freeman would like to invite you to VA Palo Alto
Health Care System's Quarterly Elected Official Update on Wednesday,
July 1, 2015, from 11:00am-12:00pm. We hope to answer any questions you
might have and provide the most current information on VA programs and
initiatives for you to share with your constituents. You will also
receive the chance to meet and welcome our new Public Affairs Officer,
Mr. Damian McGee.
Also, below is the press release for our upcoming Open House on June 30,
2015. This event will be a special event as VA begins its Summer of
Service campaign around the nation. The focus of the event will be
leveraging community partnerships to achieve VA and VAPAHCS' goals. You
are all welcome to join this event and/or spread the word to Veterans
and all stakeholders within your communities.

MEDIA ADVISORY: VA Palo Alto Hosts Open House for Veterans and Community
(June 30, 2015)
PALO ALTO, Calif. -- VA Palo Alto Health Care System (VAPAHCS) will be
holding an Open House on Tuesday, June 30, 2015, from 5:00-6:30 p.m., at
its Palo Alto Division. This Open House will be a special event as
Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) begins its Summer of Service
campaign around the nation. The focus of the event will be leveraging
community partnerships to achieve VA and VAPAHCS' goals.
This summer, VA is renewing our commitment to America's Veterans, and
asking for community partners to help in honoring that commitment.
VAPAHCS will be inviting not only Veterans but also community partners
and stakeholders to visit its Palo Alto campus for an Open House with
representation from the health care system, Veteran Benefits
Administration and National Cemetery Administration. VA's partners can
also help by getting the word out this summer that VA is a great place
to work, with one of the best missions, serving the best clients -

The VA Palo Alto Health Care System consists of three inpatient
facilities located at Palo Alto, Menlo Park and Livermore, Calif. Also,
there are seven outpatient clinics in San Jose, Capitola, Monterey,
Stockton, Modesto, Sonora and Fremont, Calif. These
nationally-recognized facilities provide award-winning medical care and
cutting-edge technology. Along with its academic affiliate at the
