"Tactical Urbanism" talk--a quick recap

Such a great group of engaged citizenry on Sunday! Thank you to our
fantastic speaker, Julie Flynn of the Streetsplan Collaborative. For those
who couldn't make it, here are a few highlights:

--
‚Äč You can use reflective traffic tape, auto decals, wine barrels, and even
red plastic cups to put in a protected bike lane that looks like the real
thing! The example above is totally temporary!
--You can test other things: parklets, plazas, curb extensions, even
complicated things like the "Dutch intersection" in one of the options for
ECR.
--Many cities have used tactical urbanism as part of their community
engagement process--it's useful for gathering data and getting citizen
buy-in.
