Dear City Council members and Menlo Park Fire Board Members,

We are writing to express our greatest appreciation for the participation of the MPFPD in Menlo School’s recent Every 15 Minutes program. This was Menlo School’s fourth time to put on this powerful program at our school to help educate and promote safety around teenage drinking and driving.

The program is a monumental undertaking with extensive logistics that involves more than a year of planning. We were so grateful to have the support and participation of the Menlo Park Fire Protection District, as we truly could not have implemented the program without them. Fire Marshall Jon Johnston was an integral part of our steering committee. We feel strongly that education and safety go hand in hand, and we wanted to be sure to let you know how much we value MPFPD’s public safety and prevention efforts. In addition, a large number of other members from MPFPD and the other agencies professionally and willingly participated on the actual event day. We greatly appreciate the efforts and dedication of all of these emergency personnel. This involvement certainly made a lasting impact on our students.

We hope and plan to have the opportunity to hold the Every 15 Minutes program again in four years at Menlo School. We look forward to working in partnership with you.
