Crosswalk-Alma/Ravenswood -DO NOT MOVE

From: domainremoved <Sandy>

Moving the crosswalk would really inconvenience pedestrians and cyclists
who are going to the library, city offices, police station or any of the
sports complexes.
Since most of these people come from the west side, it is unreasonable to
think they they would walk out of their way just to reach a crosswalk.
Please make the changes in vehicular traffic, not pedestrian and cyclist
traffic. Otherwise, we may have another horrible accident.
Why not put a traffic light linked to the train as a safety feature for
cars, bikes and pedestrians? That seems to be the quickest solution until
a long term resolution can be reached.
