Please be careful with changes to the Ravenswood Caltrain crossing

While the recent fatal incident at that crossing is tragic; making
massively disruptive changes to the neighborhood because of it would be
misguided.

Multiple eyewitness reports say that the person stopped on the tracks
had unhindered access to an open lane where they could have easily
avoided the train. Unfortunately, they failed to notice the bells,
flashing lights, pedestrians yelling at them, and the train horn which I
can hear from three blocks away.

Again, the incident was tragic.

But I urge you not to spend incredible amounts of money, disrupt
businesses, disrupt public transportation, disrupt traffic flows, and
disrupt residents' lives in an attempt to make it safe for people to
flagrantly disregard the law in a near suicidal attempt to send a text
message.
