Dear City Council: I wish to speak on behalf of my Suburban Park Neighbors
who are close to the proposed commuter rail project. Having owned a home
very close to Cal Train in Mountain View for five years, I understand their
concern about the noise and other negative impacts that this train line will
bring to their everyday lives. Please put yourselves in their shoes with
every decision you make! Please picture your home and your children's
backyard backing up to this train line! Keep this mental picture in mind as
you make decisions that affect so many living near the current freight train
rail road tracks. Mass transit is important but families are priceless!
Please work to preserve their quality of life as you try to improve the
lives of others through this proposed commuter train line. Thank you. -Jill
