Onetta Harris Community Center needs an upgrade

Dear City Council:

Earlier this evening I used the weight room at the Onetta Harris Community Center and I was disappointed to find that the weight room was very poorly equipped. The weight room doesn't even have a padded mat.

I am bothered by the fact that the City of Menlo Park spends most of its funds on west Menlo Park instead of the many residents who pay taxes on the east side. This needs to change. The weight room should be doubled in size and new equipment should be purchased. A citizen's advisory board consisting of eastside residents should be formed to decide who the venders for the equipment should be.
